Wellabe has officially announced that it will exit Medicare Supplement in South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin on November 20, 2026. Wellabe says it made the decision after carefully evaluating its Medicare Supplement business in these states, and that it plans to refile with an eye to returning in 2027.
Submitting Applications Starting November 1
Starting November 1, Wellabe won't accept electronic Medicare Supplement applications in these three states, but you can still submit applications by email through November 19.
Download your state's sales kit from the Medicare Supplement page of the Wellabe health portal or the online storefront, and print the complete kit so all necessary information is included.
Complete the kit with your applicant in person.
Email the application and any required documentation to [email protected]. You'll get an automatic reply confirming Wellabe received it.
Track the application in the new business tracking report on the health portal. You'll get an email once it's decisioned.
If your application doesn't show up in the new business tracking report after a reasonable time for underwriting, contact Wellabe Agent Sales Support.
Have Another Med Supp Option Ready
While Wellabe is out of these states, The Brokerage Inc. can help you get contracted with other Medicare Supplement carriers, so you have a strong option for clients through AEP and into 2027.
