Action Required: Washington DSHS LTSS Training and Attestation for PY2027
From Wellcare
Wellcare has announced an important annual training requirement for all producers licensed to sell in Washington for Plan Year 2027. As part of Washington State Medicaid Agency contract requirements, producers must complete two Washington Department of Social and Health Services training modules covering Long-Term Services and Supports before assisting Washington beneficiaries or members. All producers who are currently licensed in Washington must complete both required training modules by September 23, 2026. Producers who become newly licensed or newly onboarded to sell in Washington after that date must complete the training within one week of onboarding and before assisting any Washington beneficiaries or members.
The two required courses are:
Training 1: Navigating Medicaid Long Term Services & Supports
Training 2: Financial Eligibility for Long Term Services and Supports
The training courses may be completed at any time. After completing both modules, producers must log in to the broker portal through Centene Workbench and submit the required Washington LTSS Training Attestation. The attestation portal opens on July 21, 2026. Beginning with PY2027 certification, Wellcare will use the submitted portal attestation to track compliance with Washington’s annual LTSS training requirement. Completing the training courses alone is not sufficient; producers must also submit the attestation confirming completion. Agents should retain copies of their training records for their files and complete the training and attestation as early as possible. Failure to complete both requirements by the applicable deadline may affect a producer’s ability to assist Washington beneficiaries and members or conduct Wellcare business in Washington for PY2027. Who should they contact with questions? Agents may contact Wellcare Broker Support through the Live Chat feature available in the broker portal or by calling 866-822-1339, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Agents may also contact the Medicare Product Specialist team at [email protected] for additional assistance.
