Important: 2027 BCBS Plan Crosswalks to HealthSpring Require Agent Action

BCBS Agents: Complete HealthSpring Contracting and Certification for 2027

HCSC will crosswalk certain BCBS Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans to HealthSpring plans for 2027.

Agents currently servicing affected BCBS members must take action to remain the Agent of Record and continue receiving commissions on these policies. Agents must be:

· Contracted with HealthSpring

· Appointed with HealthSpring

· Fully certified and Ready to Sell with HealthSpring for 2027

What Agents Need to Know

Being contracted and certified with BCBS does not automatically satisfy HealthSpring’s requirements. Agents must complete the separate HealthSpring contracting, appointment, and certification processes.

Agents who are not currently contracted with HealthSpring should follow the appropriate steps below:

Agents should also watch for communications from the HealthSpring Contracting team at [email protected].

Access to HealthSpring’s certification platform will be provided after the agent or agency contract has been processed. Access will remain active as long as the HealthSpring agreement remains active.

How to Complete 2027 HealthSpring Certification

Once contracted, agents can access training through HealthSpring Producers’ University using the HealthSpring for Brokers Single Sign-On portal.

1. Log in to HealthSpring for Brokers.

2. Open Producers’ University.

3. Select My Learning to view your assigned certification track.

4. Complete each required course. Agents receive three attempts to pass each course.

5. Complete or upload an accepted Medicare and Fraud, Waste and Abuse certification.

HealthSpring accepts the following universal Medicare training programs:

· AHIP

· Pinpoint Global

· NABIP

AHIP and Pinpoint training may also be accessed directly through the certification track in Producers’ University.

Do Not Delay

Agents who do not complete HealthSpring contracting, appointment, and certification requirements may lose Agent of Record status and commissions on policies that are crosswalked from BCBS to HealthSpring for 2027.
