Live Training Designed for TBI Agents and Agency Owners
On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., TBI clients are invited to a live webinar, “FFM Certification Made Simple”, hosted by John Ross and guest host Belynda DiCiaccio. This session is built for direct, independent agents and agency owners who want to be fully prepared to sell Marketplace health and ancillary plans for the upcoming enrollment season. The webinar will be delivered via Microsoft Teams at the following link:
What the FFM Certification Process Looks Like in 2026
To help consumers enroll through HealthCare.gov, licensed agents and brokers must complete FFM registration and training each year through the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS) or an HHS‑approved vendor. For plan year 2026, CMS has confirmed that agents and brokers must:
Obtain or confirm access to the FFM Agent and Broker Training role in MLMS and complete identity proofing.
Complete required Marketplace training and pass the exam with at least 70%, then sign the Marketplace Agreements before assisting consumers (CMS, marketplace registration guidance for 2026 agents and brokers).
John will walk you through this entire process step by step, including what’s different for 2026 and how to avoid delays caused by this year’s later‑than‑usual training release.
Required Courses and Registration Steps, Demystified
During the webinar, you’ll see exactly which core and refresher courses you need to complete in MLMS as a new or returning agent. John will cover:
How to register or log in to MLMS and select the correct plan year 2026 training track.
The difference between full training for new agents and the shorter refresher path for returning agents.
Where to locate the FFM Agreements and how to confirm your completion status.
You’ll leave with a clear checklist of registration steps, so you can knock out your certification efficiently and move on to building your book of business.
Answers to Common FFM Questions
If you’ve ever wondered, “Do I have to redo all of this every year?” or “When can I actually start enrolling clients?” this webinar is for you. John and Belynda will address common questions such as:
How long certification is valid and when you need to complete your 2026 training to avoid gaps in selling.
What happens if you miss a deadline or fail the exam on your first attempt.
How upcoming Marketplace changes, such as adjustments to open enrollment timing and tighter oversight of agents and brokers may affect your day‑to‑day sales activities (CMS Benefit and Payment Parameters final and proposed rules for 2026–2027).
Tips for Selling Marketplace Health & Ancillary Plans in 2026
Certification is only the first step. This session also highlights practical sales strategies tailored to Marketplace and ancillary products.
You’ll learn how to:
Position health plans based on value, networks, and total out‑of‑pocket exposure, not just premium.
Cross‑sell ancillary products like dental, vision, accident, and hospital indemnity to close coverage gaps and increase client protection.
Use technology and virtual meetings to educate clients, respond quickly during open enrollment, and build long‑term trust.
With telehealth, new plan designs, and evolving subsidy rules reshaping the Marketplace, staying current on health and ancillary trends can set your agency apart and drive growth.
Reserve Your Spot and Be Ready for Enrollment
If you are a TBI client—whether an individual producer or an agency principal—this webinar is your opportunity to make FFM certification straightforward, timely, and strategically useful for your business. Mark your calendar for August 18, 2026, at 10 a.m.
Spend one focused hour with John Ross and Belynda, and step into the next enrollment season confident, compliant, and ready to grow your health and ancillary book of business on the Federally Facilitated Marketplace.
