NEWS: Molina Marketplace Announces Broker Transfer Black-Out Period During OEP
Molina Marketplace is implementing a broker transfer black-out period during the 2027 Open Enrollment Period (OEP) to support OEP readiness and operational stability.
If you are considering a change to your agency or broker hierarchy, take action before the upcoming deadline.
Transfer Deadline: October 14
The last day for broker hierarchy transfers to be submitted and processed before the black-out period is October 15, 2026.
If you are planning to move from one agency hierarchy to another, submit the necessary transfer documentation by October 14.
Black-Out Period
October 15, 2026 – January 31, 2027
During the black-out period:
Brokers will not be moved from one agency hierarchy to another.
Transfer requests received during this period will be placed on hold and remain on file.
Requests will be processed once the black-out period ends in February 2027.
Existing transfers already in progress may continue according to Molina's established transfer guidelines and waiting-period requirements.
Planning Ahead for OEP
If you are considering an agency or hierarchy change, don't wait until OEP is underway. Submit your transfer documentation by October 14, 2026 to have the request submitted and processed before the black-out period begins.
Requests submitted during the black-out period will not take effect until February 2027.
