Five Houston-Area CenterWell Centers Are Open for January 1 Placements

What CenterWell Senior Primary Care's Houston growth update means for your AEP planning

A client wants a CenterWell doctor starting January 1, and the center closest to them may already be at capacity. Finding that out after the enrollment is the kind of second conversation nobody has time for during AEP.

CenterWell Senior Primary Care has named the Houston-area centers eligible for membership growth during AEP 2027. Beginning in October 2026, agents can place members at five locations for January 1, 2027 effective dates.

The Five Centers Accepting New Members

Beaumont, Pasadena, Port Arthur, Sharpstown, and Westside are the Houston-area centers open for January 1, 2027 effective dates. For clients who want a primary care physician in place on January 1, these five can be part of your AEP planning now.

Why These Five

CenterWell based the list on a review of each Houston-area center, looking at center performance, financial performance, patient documentation and quality metrics, and provider capacity and availability. The five on this list cleared that review, which gives you more confidence that a client placed there has a provider ready to see them.

If Your Client's Preferred Center Isn't Listed

Some Houston-area locations are currently at capacity. CenterWell has said it will keep evaluating availability and share updates as more centers open for growth, so a center that isn't on the list today may be later in the season.
